TRILOGIEN "LANDSKAP"

I trilogien "Landskap" skildres det norske kystlandskapet i et poetisk filmspråk. Landskapet er i forgrunnen, menneskene er i bakgrunnen.

THE LANDSCAPE TRILOGY
"Landscape" is a trilogy of freestanding films portraying the Norwegian coast in a poetic way.
The landscape is in the foreground, human beings are present, but mostly indirectly.

Miljøkonflikt:
Det norske kystlandskapet er truet av en omfattende kommersiell utnyttelse. Hyttebygging, kraftutbygging, vindmøller, bolig og industriutbygg gjør stadige innhogg i det gamle kulturlandskapet.

I filmene er det ingen fortelling, ingen hovedpersoner og ingen konflikter som i tradisjonelle dokumentarfilmer. Trilogien består av tre frittstående filmer, som er ulike både i lengde, form og innhold. Fellestrekket for filmene er imidlertid et høyt estetisk ambisjonsnivå.

Filmene er finasiert av Norsk filmfond, Vestnorsk filmsenter, Sørnorsk filmsenter, Fond for lyd og bilde og Norsk kulturråd.

The coastal landscape is threatened by commercial development. The construction of cabins, windmills, industries and settlements constantly reduces and impoverishes the old cultural landscape.

In these films there are no story, no main characters and no conflicts like in traditional documentaries. The Trilogy consists of three freestanding films, different in length form and content. However, they have in common a strong aesthetic emphasis.

The films are financed by The Norwegian Film Institute, Arts Council of Norway, Western Norway Film Centre, Southern Norway Film Centre and Fond for lyd og bilde.
